Unfortunately, fungus currently affects hundreds of thousands of people from all around the world. For those who do not know, fungal infections can have unpleasant symptoms, which is why it is important to treat them as soon as possible. With this in mind, Lamisil represents an antifungal medication that is mostly used in order to fight against fungus-caused infections. Usually, these tablets are used by doctors to treat fungus infections of the toenails and fingernails. The medicine is also used for other medical purposes, such as treating fungal infections on the scalp hair for children of at least 4 years of age.

What should patients know prior to using Lamisil?

Do keep in mind the fact that the medicine is usually taken for 6 to 12 weeks, and that while your symptoms may improve after the first few weeks, it is important to take the medicine until the end of the period to make sure that the fungal infection has been healed.
