Generic Vs Brand Vardenafil

Generic Vs Brand

A lot of us are completely unaware of the differences between a brand-name and generic drug. This is even more pronounced in the field of erectile dysfunction and other sexual drugs where brand names count for a lot. For instance, the blue pill or Viagra had created so much of hype around it that other drugs like Cialis and Levitra has had a tough time breaking into the target. Even more difficult it is for generic drugs, which are just as efficient as the branded ones, to create a market space for themselves.

Is generic Vardenafil a better option cost-wise?

So are Vardenafil and its generic version equivalent in its effects and properties? The answer is yes due to the same chemical ingredient in both the drugs. But if you compare the prices you will see that generic Vardenafil comes at the tenth of the branded one. So when you can cut down your expenses to 1/10th, why are you still persisting with the branded one? The answer is brand marketing by the drug manufacturer and our ignorance to an extent.

Understandably, the pills may look different in terms of size, shape and color, but the ingredients are the same, therefore the results are going to be similar. Next time your doctors prescribe Viagra, Cialis and Levitra, make sure you insist on generic drugs that have the same ingredients, namely Sildenafil, Tadalafil and Vardenafil. Similarly, you can ask your local pharmacist for generic variants of these drugs.

Is generic Vardenafil safe?

It is this question that makes people thinks twice before going for the generic version, and understandably so. With branded drugs like Viagra or Levitra, there is a certain sense of security associated with it. They have been in the market for quite a long time and their benefits and side effects are well documented. However, the same cannot be said about the generic variants. Again, it is our ignorance that is causing these doubts. When you understand that the brand names are merely a façade and the real deal is the actual ingredient which is similar in both the products, all such doubts should vanish away.

And when it comes to precautions you should be taking when you take generic Vardenafil, you should follow everything you would take when consuming the branded version. Never vary the dosage without the express permission of the doctor. Follow label instructions strictly at all times.
