Buspar is a drug that is mostly utilized for the medication of anxiety. This drug works in our body by affecting a couple of hormones in the brain. Buspar is manufactured by Bristol-Myers Squibb. Whereas the generic form of the medicine is manufactured by several other companies. This drug is not related to any other medicines of anxiety. Unlike other drugs, it is not useful for preventing, fits, relaxing muscles or treating insomnia.

Few things should be considered before taking Buspar. The medicine comes in form of tablets. It is usually taken by mouth and two to three times a day. The medicine should be taken consistently before or after having food. The intake of the medicine should be at the identical time of the day everyday to keep up a constant level of the medicine in the blood. For the medicine to function properly it should be taken strictly according to the doctor’s prescription.

The dosage that you are prescribed by your healthcare provider depends on basically three factors i.e. the way you respond to the medicine, various other medicines that you might be taking and other medical problems that you may have. Never ever adjust your dose of the medicine by yourself.

As each and every medicine has its own side effects even Buspar has got its on negative effects. Very rarely people experience any side effects after taking Buspar. The side effects that are rarely seen are minor side effects and can be treated with basic medication. Common side effects of the medicine are dizziness, nausea, headaches and drowsiness. If any of these side effects occur then it is advisable to inform your doctor and go under medication to get rid of them.
