The mindblowing success of Viagra is killing you with numbers. Despite the release of strong rivals in the face of Levitra and Cialis generic, not to mention the horde of generic brands and the impact of grey market, so far Pfizer has been generating between $1.64 and $2.05bn annually. According to the public statistics since 2003, none of the above factors have actually influenced the sales of the world’s most recognizable pill. The NYC-based firm has been experiencing a decline in sales three years in a row since 2012, and many have started predicting the soon end of the product’s success story. Yet the company has completed a comeback in 2015 with a $23ml up from 2014. Viagra is still in the game, and according to long-term marketing forecasts it will keep on fueling Pfizer with revenue within a minimum of next decade.

You cannot deny the commercial success of the drug is definitely the result of gigantic marketing efforts and talent, but the breakthrough product effectiveness is indubitably the main driver behind the high-sky sales and incredible popularity. According to FDA-approval and post-release studies, the effectiveness of the drug is varying in the same range of 64% - 70%. For any kind of pharmaceutical, and especially the one that is dealing with a complicated, intimate issue, this is nothing but a remarkable result. With 141 reviews and 8.4/10 user score at Drugs.com, Viagra hits the top list of medications from customer satisfaction standpoint.

In the poll aimed at understanding the strongest suits of Viagra, initiated by WebMD in 2012, 72% named the effectiveness of the drug to be the strongest dignity, 14% mentioned the mild effect and the absence of side effectiveness (safety), 7% admitted the ease of use, while the remaining share was split between a dozen of other features. For around $20 per original pill and 4-5 times less in case of a generic drug, the odds to deal with the poor erection, premature ejaculation, sexual fatigue and a number of other problems increase greatly. Erectile dysfunction problems, despite the widespread misconceptions not dependent solely on on age factor, can be treated at almost any age with Viagra. Back in 2004 WebMD has released another article, indicating a 312% rocketjump in use of Viagra in men between 18 and 45 years old.

As long as Viagra will cut down the time before following erections and as long as it will keep on producing a miraculous cure effect, remaining a safe, FDA-approved, its popularity will not drop to zero. Richard Vantke, a 55 years old Viagra patient from Toronto says: ‘Even a cheaper analog would be out there anytime soon, I doubt I’ll switch to it really quick. I’m 55, I’m conservative about things and drugs in particular. Several years should pass so I can realise it’s not another sales trick with god-knows-what in its composition. I would say that the friend of mine are likely to stick to the same point’.
