What is Prednisone?

Prednisone is a synthetic corticosteroid drug that acts like the hormones made by your body’s adrenal gland. Corticosteroids are known for their extreme anti-inflammatory effects. Possible Side Effects

Inflammation treatment and autoimmune diseases can be well treated with Prednisone but there may be some side effects especially if used for long term purposes. These include:

  • Hypertension;
  • Feelings swinging from one end to another;
  • Sleeplessness.
